These cushion covers are made using remnants from 19th century French hemp sheets. This is amazing historic fabric, worn to perfection; hemp grown on the farm, prepared on the farm and woven by hand all over 100 years ago. I have retained the original selvedge (lovely and wobbly as hand woven pieces are) at the back.
I block print the designs myself, this one in a soft sagey green and using a traditional hand carved Indian printing block.
Each cushion cover is finished with two buttons at the back. Buttons will vary as we always use vintage!
We are happy to take custom orders to block print cushions in your choice of size, colour or design - please just get in touch.
For ease of postage our covers are sold without cushion pads but pads can be supplied, please contact me for details.

This cover is designed to take a normal square pad that is 50 cm/20 inches which can be purchased on line.
